Born in Yamanashi Prefecture in 1956, Hosaka won the Noma Literary New Writers Award in 1993 for "Breakfast on the Grass," the Akutagawa Award in 1995 for "This Threshold of Mine," the Tanizaki Junichiro Award and the Hirabayashi Taiko Award in 1997 for "Memories of Seasons," and the Noma Literary Award in 2013 for "Struggle in the Unknown.

Kenichiro Isozaki
Born in Chiba Prefecture in 1965, Kenichiro Isozaki made his debut in 2007 with "Kikanokoro no Kodomo" (A Child with a Heart), which won the Akutagawa Prize in 2009, the Dumago Literary Award in 2011 for "Akanonokoro no Uryu-two" and the Izumi Kyoka Literary Award in 2013 for "Oukorai Kon".
