60年代、ジャンルを超えたアートの実験場であった草月アートセンター。ここで“コンテンポラリー・シリーズ”と題された催しの一環として、アート・アニメーションの発表を定期的に行っていたのが、久里洋二・真壁博・柳原良平による「アニメーション三人の会」。64年65年、宇野亜喜良、和田誠とともに ゲストとして招かれた横尾忠則 は、それまでの作品を集大成する形のコラージュ作品 「アンソロジーNO.1」、メコミ調のキス・シーンを何百枚も書き、それを破りながら重ね写した「KISS KISS KISS」、『日本民話グラフィック』（美術出版社 64年）のために創作されたご詠歌入り田舎語りをアニメーション化した 「堅々獄夫婦庭訓」を制作・発表した。日本デザインセンターを退社後、イルフィルを経てフリーとなり、一躍、時代の寵児となった激動の時代に発表された幻のアニメーション作品が、いま甦る。

In the 60s, the Sogetsu Art Center was an experimental ground for art that transcended genres. As part of the event titled "Contemporary Series," art and animation presentations were regularly held at the "Animation Three-Person Meeting" by Yoji Kuri, Hiroshi Makabe, and Ryohei Yanagihara. In '64/65, along with Akira Uno and Makoto Wada, Yokoo Tadanori was invited as a guest, and the collage work "Anthology No. 1" is a compilation of his previous works, "KISS KISS KISS" which wrote hundreds of mecomic-style kiss scenes and copied them while tearing them, and "Japan Folktale Graphics" (Bijutsu Shuppan 64 years), an animated rural narrative with poems, "Ken Prison Couple Garden Lesson" was produced and released. After leaving the Japan Design Center, he worked as a freelancer after working for ILFIL, and his phantom animation works released in the turbulent times that made him a darling of the times are now revived.
